un75 jubilee

Tomorrow, October 24th, we celebrate the United Nations Day and its founding Charter.

This year's 75th anniversary of the organization is marked by a world facing mounting challenges (inequality, poverty, hunger, armed conflicts, terrorism, insecurity, climate change, pandemics).

As these challenges are closely interconnected and intertwined, now, more than ever, multilateralism and a strong international cooperation are key to address them.

The purposes and principles enshrined in the UN Charter - the cornerstone of International Law - continue to be the bulwark of the international community in defending peace and security; in respecting Human Rights and democracy; and in promoting sustainable development.

A more equal, resilient and sustainable world needs a strong United Nations.
